About the RN Program

The RN Course at CEI will open a world for our graduates. Once you complete the program and pass your final exams, you can work in any medical setting and specialty you like. As you get more experience, you will have the opportunity to develop treatment plans for patients and take on leadership roles within your organization. You can also choose to further your education and go after an advanced degree, such as a Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Anesthetist.

RNs play a critical role in the healthcare system. They are on the front lines and often the people patients and their family members turn to first with their questions. Doctors depend on you to administer important care and alert them to patient’s changing conditions. The best RNs are good with people, self-starters, problem solvers and have a heart to help others.

RN BRIDGE PROGRAM

Students who are already working as LPNs can fast-track their career as a registered nurse with the RN Bridge Program. This allows students to become a registered nurse in as little as nine months. While students are attending the RN Bridge Program, they can continue to work as an LPN, allowing them to earn money, gain invaluable experience and establish seniority within their organization.

While LPNs play an invaluable role in healthcare organizations, RNs have higher earning potential, are given more patient responsibilities and can pursue leadership opportunities within their organization.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

Our program is designed to help you feel fully confident to work as a nurse. We teach the technical information you will need to succeed but we also help you develop more nuanced skills, such as how to communicate with patients’ loved ones and how to effectively relay information to your colleagues. The program ends with 12 weeks of shadowing nurses in the field to provide you with the best hands-on experience possible.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a nurse, you will work alongside physicians to care for patients, administer important medications, operate medical equipment, collect and run tests on patients and identify treatment plans.

Before entering the RN program, students must have completed the following courses and certifications:

PSYC 101 or SOC 101
COMM 101
ENGL 175 or equivalent humanities

*Classes may already have been obtained depending on the year and LPN course completed.

If needed, apply for a scholarship

If money is holding you back from becoming an RN, apply for one of our scholarships. Currently, scholarships for registered nurses are only available to those enrolled in our RN Bridge Program.

Apply for the program
