RN & 2x Scholarship Recipient—Tyra Andrews

She began her Idaho Healthcare Institute journey learning to become a CNA—now she's working as a Registered Nurse (RN). Tyra Andrews is a two-time scholarship recipient who now begins a new chapter in her nursing career as one of the newest labor and delivery nurses at Mountain View Hospital.

Tyra believes nursing is a path toward a better education and career. During schooling, she worked as a CNA while continuing her degrees with the help of the Idaho Healthcare Institute scholarships. She attributes her successful journey to the financial support and gifted mentors she had along the way.

With five children and existing financial burdens, Idaho Healthcare Institute reimagined Tyra's hopes for a smooth transition from education to career. Without excessive student loans or inflexible schedules, she found the perfect balance between school, work, and living her life to the fullest.
