What school do IHI scholarships apply to?
Scholarships from the Idaho Healthcare Institute are applied to the College of Eastern Idaho (CEI).
What happens after I submit a scholarship application?
The Idaho Healthcare Institute reviews scholarship applications in the order in which they were submitted. Applicants under consideration to receive a scholarship will be contacted regarding a follow-up interview. All such interviews will be conducted after the application deadline for the associated CEI program has closed.
Is there a timeline for when an offered scholarship has to be applied to a training program?
Yes. After scholarships have been offered, those scholarships must be applied to your selected program's next starting session.
If someone who is offered a scholarship does not attend the next starting program session, the scholarship is forfeited. The individual must reapply for an IHI scholarship to be considered for future IHI funding support.
How will the scholarship be paid?
The Idaho Healthcare Institute will pay the scholarship directly to the College of Eastern Idaho (CEI).
What do I do if I don't get a scholarship?
If you aren't awarded a scholarship, you are welcome to reapply for a future IHI scholarship opportunity.
Am I eligible for all three IHI scholarships?
Yes, but each scholarship requires a separate academic commitment.
Am I required to work full-time while attending school?
No, you are not required to work full-time while enrolled in school, but you may if you prefer.
Is Idaho Healthcare Institute a school?
No, the Idaho Healthcare Institute is not a school, but rather a partnered organization with local institutions to provide workforce training opportunities and scholarships to qualified candidates.
Will I be reimbursed for my College of Eastern Idaho registration fee?
The College of Eastern Idaho may reimburse a previously paid registration fee after the Idaho Healthcare Institute (IHI) has submitted scholarship funding to the college.
Will I be reimbursed for courses I'm currently attending?
The Idaho Healthcare Institute does not reimburse for CEI courses a student has completed before or is enrolled in at the time an IHI scholarship is awarded.
