Leslie Wilson

Leslie Wilson is the Nursing Project Manager at Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls and the Executive Director of the Idaho Healthcare Institute. Leslie is married to Greg Wilson, a retired Army officer who now teaches Army ROTC at BYU-Idaho in Rexburg. While Leslie and Greg were traveling around the country and abroad with the Army for 22 years, Leslie attended many universities, always pursuing her education.  

Nursing is Leslie’s second career, she started out as a high school math teacher after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Texas. After spending some time at home with her children, Leslie decided it was time for a change, but still wanted to do something meaningful and so enrolled in the accelerated nursing program at ISU.

After graduating, Leslie worked for a time at Saint Luke’s in Boise before moving back to East Idaho and taking a job in the Medical Surgical unit at Mountain View Hospital. She has held positions as charge nurse, supervisor, manager, Nursing Policy Specialist, and Nursing Project Manager at Mountain View Hospital.

She has served on various hospital committees as well as the State CNA Advisory Council. Leslie and Greg are parents of four children and two grandchildren. Besides her family, Leslie counts her greatest achievement the formation of the Idaho Healthcare Institute along with the opening of the new facility and the many scholarships already awarded.
