Cammy Potter
Cammy Potter was raised on a small farm in Monteview, Idaho. She's called Chester, Idaho, her home for the past 26 years. Her pride and joy are her husband Paul and three sons. She remembers being in 5th grade when asked, "What do you want to grow up and do?" She would always reply with “I want to be a nurse.”
After graduating from West Jefferson High School, she began classes at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho, during the summer. She was eventually accepted to the Idaho State University Technical College LPN program. After graduating with her LPN, she worked for Madison Memorial Hospital. She then worked for Dr. Eric Barton, DPM, where she returned to Idaho State University Technical College, becoming the second to complete the LPN to RN.
She then left and worked for Upper Valley ENT as a preop, PACU and scrub tech in the three-bed surgery center. She then felt the need to go into oncology where she fell in love with the patients.
After spending 6 years at Teton Cancer Institute, she decided to step away from working on the floor and to share her knowledge with the next generation. She loves her new role in educating new healthcare professionals and loves to see how much they love this awesome career choice.
